The last self-portraits that I took of myself that I liked included stars, so maybe it makes sense that these ones do too. (I would love to say this was completely planned but it only occurred to me when I was writing this blog entry.)
March is a month of rediscovery, I've rediscovered my Youtube channel, and I have rediscovered myself as an artist, which is a wonderful feeling. I'm not sure how I decided to buy silver star stickers and strategically attach them to my face but here we are, and it looks exactly how I saw it in my head. The light streaming into my bedroom was perfect, and made the unwieldy scrambling from the bed, around the tripod to look at the back of my camera worth it.
Ever since I started thinking about covering myself with silver, I've had so many ideas and a lot of them involve me being in front of my camera (and behind it), and instead of being terrified, I am excited. (When on a snack run, the other half and I found a rather fun prop which will be coming to a photograph near you very, very soon.)
This shoot marks the first speed edit I have ever released, and I don't know why it's taken me this long to make one.
