The day I took this photo, I slept longer than I intended to. The day before I got up very early, drove a lot and got back very late. It's apt that this was the photograph I had planned for a day on which I would be so tired.

There's a red moon rising
Something surreal created on a scorcher of a Sunday. It's surprising what you can achieve with just a novelty moon lamp, a black bed sheet and yourself.
Read MoreI'll ask the birches
Have you ever spotted the tiniest patch of scenery that a) is in a really unexpected place and b) is really aesthetically pleasing? This was one of those.
Read MoreOver and over and over
Sometimes ideas float around in my head for a while and turn out differently than I expect and not necessarily in a bad way. This is one of those ideas, and I will be revisiting it again in the future.
Read MoreCollecting stars in Cloud Bay
Once upon a time, a girl who looks very much like me but with a face that was seven years younger and less hair on one side of her head, dreamed up a Cloudiverse, crowded with characters and packed with places that were just as whimsical as she was.
Read MoreSelf-Sabotage
I am prone to self-sabotage. I am the demon on my own shoulder, pulling at my hair, picking at my skin and telling myself that a little of this won't hurt, and a little of that, and a little bit more.
Read MoreOf Masks and Shards
This week was an experiment in both colour and technique, and I was fully expecting to not get any pictures I liked but that's what my mission to create consistently is all about. I want to learn new things and create outside of my comfort zone .
Read MoreI've been feeling fuzzy
I've been feeling fuzzy lately - like there's static in my brain while it is simultaneously filled with syrup. Everything has been slow and crackly and like it may not actually be there. When I've tried to concentrate, my brain, the poor thing, has been pulled this way and that, all the while getting stuck in the syrupy. fuzzy sludge. It's not been a good brain week.
Read MoreThe greater your shadow becomes
I'm not much of a gamer. I have random bursts of obsessively playing things and then I stop and play nothing for months and months and months. But sometimes you find a game that plants itself in your heart and never leaves. This is a homage to that game .
Read MoreIn Worship of the Sun
This is a love letter to golden light and little pockets of wilderness in the middle of a bustling town. I was born in Oxfordshire, where the countryside is abundant and available within a short walk. When I first moved in with my other half back in 2016, I was worried about the lack of open, green spaces. In the Black Country, there isn't much sprawling countryside between towns, often there's nothing but a sign in the small space between streets to tell you where one ends and the next begins (at least, that's the case where we live).
Read MoreWitch, Cat, Moon I: A Study in Burgundy
Welcome to a small portion of the inside of my head, where my cat snuggles up close and the moon is never far away, and I am as magical as the things I dream about when no one is looking.
Read MoreThen came Easter
Easter came far too quickly. I wasn't entirely prepared for it. When I decided to take more self-portraits, I didn't plan on creating an Easter-themed image but then, on one fateful late-night snack run, my other half and I came across an incredibly cute door wreath. You can tell I'm rubbing off on him because at exactly the same instant, we looked at one another and both exclaimed 'crown!'
Read MoreFrom in the Clouds
Today is my birthday, and yesterday, Sparrow, my partner in crime helped me become a princess. She also took the shots at the end of this post, and had the mad and brilliant idea to make a cloud tree! It's the first time I've used clouds in a long time and I love it.
Read MoreStars
The last self-portraits that I took of myself that I liked included stars, so it makes sense that these ones do too. (I would love to say this was completely planned but it only occurred to me when I was writing this blog entry.)
