Something surreal created on a scorcher of a Sunday. It's surprising what you can achieve with just a novelty moon lamp, a black bed sheet and yourself.

I can already tell that the summer months are going to be a challenge to shoot self-portraits in. Just hopping to and from the camera, while being cooled by a standing fan, made my inner lobster make an appearance - no public speaking required. I like the way warm weather looks but not so much how it feels. Give me a cool breeze and a cloudy sky any day.

This week was another experiment in colour and light. It was also a setup test for another idea that I currently don't have the main prop for, and a colour test for an idea that I do have all of the props for but... I am still working on how I want the images to look. I always like to make my tests into something creative in their own right.
