Have you ever spotted the tiniest patch of scenery that a) is in a really unexpected place and b) is really aesthetically pleasing? This was one of those.
These images were shot a couple of months ago, before the leaves had properly come onto the trees and these particular slim, spindly birches are behind a Matalan. off a staff carpark, of a shopping centre. It was frickin' cold.
I can't lie, pals. This little shoot almost didn't happen. I may have had a little meltdown about my hair, which periodically rejects shampoo and goes all gummy and horrible (I generally have to switch between 3 or 4 different kinds of shampoo so that it doesn't freak out on me). Eventually I made it work and got it together and we got these images (I did not expect them to look like my sketches but by some kind of miracle, they do). Hooray!
