Easter came far too quickly. I wasn't entirely prepared for it. When I decided to take more self-portraits, I didn't plan on creating an Easter-themed image but then, on one fateful late-night snack run, my other half and I came across an incredibly cute door wreath. You can tell I'm rubbing off on him because at exactly the same instant, we looked at one another and both exclaimed 'crown!'
And so it was that this image started forming in my head.
Luckily, on Easter Monday (a day late, I know but Mondays are when I like to update this blog so it worked out fantastically for me) it stopped raining for long enough for me to go out and shoot. It was lovely and overcast so we got some lovely cool spring light.
I've written (and am continuing to write) over on my non-photography blog about my ongoing self-love journey, and these images mark the next tiny, baby step towards putting my whole body into an image so I'm very proud of myself for choosing a longer shot when I had plenty of shorter ones that I could have selected. We're getting there!
I have recorded a speed edit of the main image so that and the speed edit of my last image should appear on my youtube channel soon, now that I have finished editing wedding images (blog is forthcoming!).
